SO HAPPY JESUS IS THE PROMISE KEEPER!
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom; Your rule is for all generations. The Lord is faithful in all His words and gracious in all His actions Psalm 145:13 I wanted to look at how God keeps all of His promises. Let’s look at the story of Noah found in Genesis 6:9-21 9 This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. 10 Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth. 11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God…

NO WORRIES By: Katim Brown So, let’s talk about worry. I think of worry as persistent negative thoughts about a future outcome. This persistent thought then develops into repetitive thoughts in our mind that cause us to feel, anxious, stressed out and sad. I know when I have worried about things, I subconsciously believed that somehow, I was fixing the problem. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth because worry can not only cause us mental strain, but it can tax us physically and even create health problems and diseases. What does the bible say about Worry? Matthew 6:25 Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your…

Promotion that comes from God
By: Katim Brown THE PROCESS Promotion will involve what I like to call a “Process”. Process as described by Webster Dictionary, is a natural phenomenon marked by gradual changes that lead toward a particular result. We find that every great leader endured a “process”, and that process was necessary for success and promotion. Psalms 75:6 and verse 7 states that “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another. There are many great examples in the bible of great leaders who were promoted after their process. There are 3 things that…

FAITH
Well let’s start off by asking the question “What is Faith? -Webster’s definition of Faith is 1: strong belief or trust in someone or something 2: belief in the existence of God: strong religious feelings or belief Hebrews 11:1 says Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 Corinthians 5:7 states For we walk by faith, not by sight. This means we rest on and in the promises that God has given us. We find those promises in the Bible. Another aspect of faith is knowing that Faith must be exercised. When we work out in a gym in order to acquire muscle…

GOODNESS AND MERCY!
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”Romans 3:23 As a Christian we want to remind ourselves that we all sin and we all fall short. We should confess our sins and turn from sinful behavior. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from unrighteousness. We want to appreciate God for His goodness and His mercy! Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6 Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there…

FAITH-Part 2
I wrote a blog and recorded a podcast episode about faith back in November 2021. https://anchor.fm/katim-brown/episodes/Faith-e1agk0l/a-a831isl I focused mostly on the woman with the issue of blood. For this Faith Part 2 blog, I would like to look at Hebrews 11. This book of Hebrews gives a long history and record of those that trusted in God and demonstrated exceptional faith. We are called to have faith. In fact, without faith, it is impossible to please God. 1Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3By faith we understand that the universe was created by…

JOY!!!
The bible tells us that “the joy of the Lord is your strength.” We always want to tap into the joy of the Lord. His joy is available to strengthen us daily! We should be intentional in choosing joy. It’s so easy to run with our emotions and let them dictate how we feel. Even on our “not so great days” we can interrupt that feeling by remembering that we have the joy of the Lord! Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Joy is also one of the Fruits of the Spirit! Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love,…

Please Don’t Swear
It’s so common to hear people “Swear to …” to show the listener how much they are telling the truth. It’s common, but it is not right. We should be careful to pay attention to things we say. Better yet, we want to be careful what we think and careful about what we put in our heart. For is it what comes out of the mouth that defiles us. James 5:12 But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation. Matthew…

DON’T TAKE THE LORD’S NAME IN VAIN
We want to exercise wisdom when using the name of the Lord. If we are sincerely calling on Him to help us or calling His name during prayer, then that is fine. That is what He would want us to do. Otherwise, calling His name when we hit our toe, find something exciting or if we are angry would actually be sin. Exodus 20:7“You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. Jeremiah 10:6 – Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in…

THINK
Often, are minds are at war with the devil. Intrusive thoughts and negative thinking can impact our joy, sense of well being and even our health. Our thoughts are powerful and affect us more than we may think. We do not have to accept lies and negative thoughts from the devil. Jesus has given us authority over the enemy including his attacks on our minds. We need to keep our thoughts focused on Christ and things that are praiseworthy! Philippians 4:8Â Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything…

SATANIC MUSIC AND MEDIA-Beyonce and Jay Z, Jennifer Lopez, Kendrick Lamar, Dante Bowe from Maverick City, etc.
Our music and media are saturated with demonic influences and messages. The devil is the prince of the power of the air, so this is why you see demonic things running so rampart in our world. But his time is short so he is going full speed ahead with getting people to go to hell. He uses the music along with other outlets, but for today I’ll be speaking more so to the music industry. A lot of times they artists that worship satan are even telling you who they are yet, for some, people have chosen to look the other way. Jay Z and Beyonce have demonstrated their alliance…

SEXUAL SINS
As for sex, God created it to be in the confines of marriage between a man and a woman. We want to strive to honor God with our bodies. Romans 12:1I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 1 Corinthians 6:13 13 You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 1 Corinthians 10:13 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common…

GOD HAS PLANS!
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Proverbs 19:21-Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Regardless of what age we are, God has a plan for our lives! We are not a mistake and we were born to be here! God can use you to help people and do His work at ANY age! He used Moses and Joshua and He can use you too! Psalms 143:8-Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I…
