Well let’s start off by asking the question “What is Faith? -Webster’s definition of Faith is

1strong belief or trust in someone or something

2belief in the existence of Godstrong religious feelings or belief

Hebrews 11:1 says

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

2 Corinthians 5:7 states For we walk by faith, not by sight.

This means we rest on and in the promises that God has given us. We find those promises in the Bible.

Another aspect of faith is knowing that Faith must be exercised.

When we work out in a gym in order to acquire muscle mass, we end up a bit sore especially, if we haven’t worked out in a while. But over time and with repetition we begin to see progress with our muscle mass and energy. Likewise, faith, when exercised, even during painful situations we become stronger and wiser.

We also strengthen our faith through reading our bible, praying and prayer. We have faith when we help others.

I’d like to highlight an example of exercising faith in the passage of

Mark 5:25-34

This is a story regarding the woman with the issue of blood.

25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”

32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

No matter how long you have been suffering, no matter how hard it has been for you, keep exercising your faith and remind yourself of the promises of God.

The Bible tells us that And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.

Scripture also tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

James 1:3

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

James 1:6

For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

Romans 1:17

Remember Faith is a lifestyle.

If you would like to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior

Romans 10:9-10 tells us that

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
