I wanted to talk to you today about winning. As Christians we should approach each battle we face expecting to win, because we have already won through our relationship with Christ. The bible says that…

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

Psalm 20:7

When David went to defeat Goliath, he understood that although God blessed him with skills, it was God who was the source behind his power and strength.

As a Christian we should remember that our relationship with Jesus is a relationship destined for victory when we put our trust in Him.

Deuteronomy 20:4

4 For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”

John 16:33

 33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Romans 8:31-32

 31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Joshua 10:8

 8 The LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them; I have given them into your hand. Not one of them will be able to withstand you.”

2 Peter 3:9

9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Ephesians 6:10
