FALSE PROPHETS AND FALSE TEACHERS

HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT!

We should be watchful and use discernment when we listen to teachings and sermons. Not everyone that says they are of God are sent by God even if you have known them a long time.

PEOPLE CHANGE…

I mentioned this in my previous episode about apostasy and lukewarm Christians. Some people have turned into modern day Judas’, Ahabs, Jezebels, Hamans, etc. I’m talking about from the pulpit to the pews!

FALSE PROPHETS AND FALSE TEACHERS

Matthew 7:15 – Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Let’s talk about church for a moment.

We should be prayerful and watchful and use discernment when we listen to teachings and sermons. This includes bible studies and sermons. Not everyone that says they are of God are sent by God even if you have known them a long time. I could use Saul as an example here.

I JOHN 4:1-6

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

The bible says us in John 10:27 that “My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow me.

The sobering reality is that….

Some people are hiding in plain sight. Wearing big crosses, carrying big bibles, etc.

2 Timothy 3:5-7 Having the form of godliness, but denying the power thereof; from such turn away.

Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart.

They have grown accustomed to “getting away with things” for so long that they feel that they are invincible. Remember, I’m talking about someone that started off with Jesus, and somewhere down the road, turned their back on Him and consorted with other gods. Yes, some people even in the pulpit are engaged in satanic and dark works. Yes, some practice witchcraft and even use it before and during the service. Why is it important to know this? It is because you can be opening your spirit and exposing your family to more demonic oppression.

1Timothy 4:1-2-1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.

These people have agendas for the world of darkness. In order to hold on to their demonic powers, they must carry out terrible acts including deceiving the people of God or suffer the consequences from the devil. Yes, the devil “disciplines” his workers or slaves when they do not follow through with his orders. They don’t realize that they have volunteered to become slaves to the devil. But the bible talks about certain people “without understanding”. But through discernment and prayer God can reveal the truth to you. The bible warns us about this. The bible says that even the very elect will be deceived. This just goes to show you that detecting this is not always obvious.

People change….and not always in a good way. I mean, we all change over time in some way, but I’m talking about changing one’s spiritual agenda. Just because you’ve known someone for a long time, does not make them exempt from changing in terms of their commitment to God. This is a hard truth to accept. This Some people have turned into modern day Judas’, Ahab’s, Jezebels, Haman, etc. I’m talking about from the pulpit to the pews. I mentioned this in my previous episode about apostasy and lukewarm Christians.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 – But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

2 Timothy 2:1-15 – You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules. The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops. Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this.

Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But `God’s word is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.

11 Here is a trustworthy saying:

If we died with Him,
    we will also live with Him;
12 if we endure,
we will also reign with Him.
If we disown Him,
    He will also disown us;
13 if we are faithless,
    He remains faithful,
    for He cannot disown Himself.

Dealing With False Teachers

14 Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

PAY ATTENTION DURING THE CHURCH SERVICE

2 Corinthians 11:13-15-

For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

The devil in his futile attempt to destroy the things of God assigns people and demons to deceive the people of God. False teachers are utilized to stifle people and keep them from learning about their salvation. They are also there to desensitize those that are saved to the “wiles” of the devil.

UNDERSTAND HOW THE DEVIL OPERATES

He is organized…

One of the fastest easiest ways for the devil to gain souls is through infiltrating and deceiving the church. Church services hosts big crowds each week and online. If he can use one false teacher to reach 50 or more people, that would be worth his time. Do not passively attend service. You want to really know and understand what you are being taught. Great teachers and prophets will encourage you to do so.

Satan targets Christians even though they have accepted Christ. What he does is cause them to be a stumbling block to newer Christians and non-Christians. This still promotes his agenda.  Satan is biblically known as “the accuser”. He’s the one wanting and waiting for you to mess up so that people that know or look to you will lose faith. The bible says in Isaiah 5:13-14 that 13 Therefore, my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. 14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

Strong Christians are a threat to Satan. Lukewarm Christians help him.

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

1 Thessalonians 5:17

The devil does not want you to pray because he knows that prayer weakens, slows, and shuts down his ability to kill, steal and destroy things from you and others.

READ YOUR BIBLE

He also doesn’t want you to read the bible because he knows that if read the bible that you will uncover things that will not only set you free but set your family free as well. The devil is not just after you, he is after your family, finances, job, health, and anything else he can get his hands on. Because he is not omnipresent, he has to assign duties to people and demons that will do his bidding.

2 Corinthians 2:11

In order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

RED FLAGS-TEACHING AND CHURCH

One red flag is someone that is teaching you not to read your bible and not to pray or discouraging you from doing it frequently. The bible tells us to pray without ceasing for a reason! It is because the devil is prowling around seeking whom he may devour.

Good teaching and teachers encourage you to pray, praise and worship God, fast and read your bible. A good teacher also backs up what they say with supporting scriptures. However, be on guard as false teachers and prophets will also try to use scripture to back up false teaching. Therefore, it is imperative that you are a regular reader of the bible, so that you can research and discern for yourself whether it is an sound teaching.

This is true even if you have been under one ministry for years and years, do not become complacent. You still need to make sure what you are hearing is sound doctrine.

2 Peter 2:1 – But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Matthew 24:24 – For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Romans 16:18 – For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
