Romans 10:9-10 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Enemies
I’m sure we could all speak at length about the topic regarding enemies. In my opinion, it seems like a person can acquire enemies in at least two ways. One way, is consistently antagonize someone. This behavior will automatically draw enemies to you. The other way we acquire enemies is through doing good or standing up for something that is right. Today, I wanted to talk about having enemies when you are trying to do what is right. We must remember who the REAL enemy is. A lot of times we have suffered at the hands of “people” but really it is a spirit or spirits inside of the person…

PRAY Today our topic will be on prayer. Specifically, I wanted to encourage you to pray. We don’t want to limit ourselves to praying 1 time a day. Let’s look at praying throughout the day for victory! Let’s take a look at what the bible says about prayer. How should we pray? We want to understand that there is a protocol to prayer. Psalms 66:18-19 If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear. But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. Mark 11:25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father…

“No Worries” Anchor Podcast episode. Please click the link below the blog to listen to the podcast!
NO WORRIES By: Katim Brown So, let’s talk about worry. I think of worry as persistent negative thoughts about a future outcome. This persistent thought then develops into repetitive thoughts in our mind that cause us to feel, anxious, stressed out and sad. I know when I have worried about things, I subconsciously believed that somehow, I was fixing the problem. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth because worry can not only cause us mental strain, but it can tax us physically and even create health problems and diseases. What does the bible say about Worry? Matthew 6:25 Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your…

Promotion that comes from God
By: Katim Brown THE PROCESS Promotion will involve what I like to call a “Process”. Process as described by Webster Dictionary, is a natural phenomenon marked by gradual changes that lead toward a particular result. We find that every great leader endured a “process”, and that process was necessary for success and promotion. Psalms 75:6 and verse 7 states that “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another. There are many great examples in the bible of great leaders who were promoted after their process. There are 3 things that…

FREEDOM FROM ANGER
Ephesians 4:26In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry. What is Anger? Webster describes anger in a few ways. Here are some ways they have defined it. 1. a strong feeling of displeasure and usually of antagonism 2: a threatening or violent appearance or state Speaking of "threatening" and "violent" appearance, that brings to mind a show that used to come on in the 80s called the Incredible Hulk. Before turning into the Hulk, completely unrecognizable from his human form, he usually gave the warning “You won’t like me when I’m angry”. Anger if allowed can turn us into someone that…

LOVE
What is love and how would you define “love”? Webster describes love in many ways. Webster states that love is a 1. strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties such as maternal love for a child 2. affection based on admiration, benevolence, or common interests 3. an assurance of affection Many of us could describe love in a way that may be different from Webster’s definition. Maybe for you love is not a definition, but rather an action. Well, let’s take a look at how the bible defines love. I Corinthians chapter 13 tells us that: If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have…

Helping Children Have Positive Attitudes
Helping children have positive attitudes Psalms 127:3-Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him Psalms 127:3-5 tells us that 3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from Him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. 5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court. For starters, the first thing that we want to do for our children is: Pray for them and with them 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is…

FAITH
Well let’s start off by asking the question “What is Faith? -Webster’s definition of Faith is 1: strong belief or trust in someone or something 2: belief in the existence of God: strong religious feelings or belief Hebrews 11:1 says Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 Corinthians 5:7 states For we walk by faith, not by sight. This means we rest on and in the promises that God has given us. We find those promises in the Bible. Another aspect of faith is knowing that Faith must be exercised. When we work out in a gym in order to acquire muscle…

IF YOU WERE TO DIE TODAY…
If you were to die today do you know where you would spend eternity? The fact of the matter is although we are alive today, there is coming a time when we will all die. It’s certainly not the most enjoyable thing to think about but just like we have insurance for our cars, homes, etc. we should make plans for our eternity. Eternal Life in Heaven is a free gift Romans 6:23 says the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is not earned or deserved Ephesians 2:8, 9 states that “For by grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:…
