REJECTION

Today I wanted to talk about rejection. The bible tells us that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. As Christians, rejection can come in many forms and from many places. Sometimes God will use rejection as protection for you. So, when we receive the no remember that it could be God’s way of saying that He has something better in mind for you.

Enduring rejection requires perseverance and confidence in God’s Word. It’s also a matter of not being weary in well doing, knowing we shall reap if we faint not. Rejection is hard but we know that Jesus understands. His life was filled with rejection after rejection and betrayal. So, as Christians doing His will, although we will reign with Him, we too must suffer with Him. Let’s look at…

Isaiah 53:3

3 He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

John 1:11

11 He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him.

This did not allow Jesus to withhold His love for us on the cross. He gave up His life for us, knowing that some would not receive Him. Romans 10:9 If thou shall confess with Thy mouth Lord Jesus and believe in Thy heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved.

Jesus reminded us in scripture in

John 15:18 that

18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.

But we don’t have to worry.

Philippians 4:19

19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Psalms 37:4

4 Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 139:13-14

13 For you created my inmost being you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well.

Psalms 34:17-20

17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. 18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. 19 The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; 20 he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.

Jeremiah 27:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares The Lord “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”

May God bless and keep you!
