As Christians, we will experience great days and also days that are difficult which include testing and persecution.  God is faithful and will deliver us out of these situations. Not only did God bless His people that were persecuted and endured testing, but God even blessed some of His people with double!

Thankfully, the bible instructs us on how to handle these days. When we endure, not only will God deliver us, He will bless us with far more than we could imagine.

Ephesians 3:20- Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,.

Matthew 5:10-12

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

2 Corinthians 12:10

10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

As Christians, when we pass our tests and endure hardship, there are rewards from God. Our work is not in vain.

When Job completed his test, God had wonderful things in store for him and his future.

Job 42:10-10 And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

I Samuel 1:5-but to Hannah he would give a double portion, for he loved Hannah, but the Lord had closed her womb.

2 Kings 2:9-When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you.” And Elisha said, “Please let there be a double portion of your spirit on me.

Zechariah 9:12

Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope;
    today I declare that I will restore to you double.

Isaiah 61:7-Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion;
    instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot;
therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion;
    they shall have everlasting joy.
