Joshua 24:15

15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

“Choose you this day” is important to stress here because the fact is that we are not promised tomorrow.

James 4:13-15

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”

God is a gentleman. He will not force you to choose or serve Him. However, we should remember that God offers Himself to us graciously. We should know that there is a Heaven and there is a hell. Everyone  will spend eternity somewhere. We will spend eternity either in Heaven if we choose Him or in Hell if we do not choose Him. This is not a “I can change my mind later situation”. Eternal life is permanent.

Matthew 6:24

“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Revelation 3:15-16

‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot.

So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.https://katimspeaks.com/lukewarm-and-apostasy/

Revelations 3:20

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

Proverbs 27:1

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.https://katimspeaks.com/if-you-were-to-die-today-2/

Hebrews 3:12

12 See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16
