SO DELIGHTED TO BE BUILT TO LAST!

When building a skyscraper or house, it is important to consider the foundation. If the foundation is cracked or faulty this will comprise the structure’s ability to stand. Things will be uneven, and parts of the structure may begin to separate.

Luke 14:28

For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?

God is very detailed about building. We see physical examples of that in the Old Testament where He gave instructions and dimensions on how certain things were to be built. He is also detailed about building us up. God want us to be fortified and strong enough to last in life.

God made us fearfully and wonderfully in His image. He knows the plans that He has for us even before we were born. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future, according to Jeremiah 29:11. Being rooted in Christ is essential and is found in our salvation. Romans 10:9-10-If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Once we have confessed this, we will be able to do even greater things!

So what happens when we are not rooted in Christ? We can look at Matthew 7:24-27 for that answer.

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

Matthew 7:24-27

With our foundation in and on Christ we will be able to withstand the storms of life.

There will be times where we experience great pain and suffering along with our days that are filled with joy.

Sometimes the very thing moments and trials where we felt the weakest, actually strengthened us for the next level in life and in God.

We know that all things work together for the good of them that love The Lord and are called according to His purpose

Psalms 119:17-It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.”

Romans 5:3-5

3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;

4 perseverance, character; and character, hope.

5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Ephesians 6:10-18

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Ephesians 4:11-13

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.
