When Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, God not only disciplined Adam and Eve, but he cursed the serpent…
Let’s look at Genesis 3:14-15: 14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. 15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring[i] and hers; he will crush[j] your head, and you will strike his heel.”

So, we see that Adam and Eve had to suffer the consequences of their actions, BUT God also dealt with the serpent who came to tempt them to sin.
We should know that although satan operates as the prince of the power of the air according to Ephesians 2:2, but his time for ultimate punishment WILL come.
We see this in Revelations 12:9-10-9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers[a] has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.https://katimspeaks.com/false-prophets-and-false-teachers/
Satan’s agenda overall is to deceive people and keep them from having a relationship with Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:4-4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
And so here it is…
Revelations 20:10- and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Revelations 12:12- 12 Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!”
And so this explains satan’s urgency because he knows that he is running out of time! Isaiah 5:14 states that hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
But as a true Christian, there’s no worry, because satan knows that he’s on a clock that belongs to God!
Philippians 2:9-11 – Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name, That at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Romans 14:11 – For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Isaiah 45:23 – I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
Revelation 1:7 – Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.
Revelation 5:13 – And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
Hebrews 13:8 – Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
